Research Findings for National YWI

Conducting research Methods to Align Communication Strategies

Overview: National YWI is the national body of work that coordinates the eight existing Young Women’s Initiatives—bringing together philanthropic partners, community partners, government, and young people from across localities—and will mobilize the growth and expansion of YWI to other markets. To fully achieve this, National YWI must have the proper branding and style guidelines to unify and guide the messaging to the various stakeholders. Rapport Studios collaborated with the National YWAC and YWI Steering Committee to surface insights to inform visual communication, voice, and tone, as well as basic messaging to create a Style Guide that is reflective of the mission of YWI and the communities they serve.

Working with Rapport Studios, Ángel developed and led a research plan to surface qualitative insights. Using a human-centered approach, four informant groups (stakeholders) were engaged in a participatory discussion.

Team collaborators surfaced insights from digital and web audits. The collective insights provided informant groups with clear communication alignment.
